The Story Behind the Name
Some things can only be understood looking back. WovenArc exists to help that understanding emerge.
Woven. Arc.
Woven speaks to how meaningful experiences actually come together. A trip is not a single moment. It is made of many threads — conversations had in passing, decisions that seemed small at the time, shared silences, unexpected connections. While you're living it, these threads feel scattered. But step back, and they begin to form something you couldn't see up close.
Like the back of a tapestry, the process can feel tangled. But from the other side, a picture has been forming all along.
Arc speaks to the larger story. Every meaningful experience has a shape — a beginning, a middle, and a resolution that often only becomes visible in hindsight. The arc is the testimony of what a group went through together. It's what happened, and why it mattered.
WovenArc exists to help that picture emerge — not by imposing a narrative, but by gathering the threads and creating the conditions for the arc to become visible.
Meaning takes time to see
We believe this is true for mission trips. For retreats. For global gatherings. For any experience where people come together with purpose.
The most transformative moments are often the ones that don't make the highlight reel — the conversation after the session, the question someone finally asked, the connection that formed quietly over shared work. These are the threads that shape people. And they almost always go unrecorded.
Not because they didn't matter. Because there was no place for them.
The people who shared an experience deserve to see what they built together.
Why We Started WovenArc
WovenArc didn't begin as software.
It began with a question.
After years of leading mission trips, retreats, and transformational experiences around the world, we noticed the same pattern again and again.
People would prepare for months. They would experience powerful moments together. Then they would return home carrying photos, stories, and memories — but little structure for preserving what mattered most or integrating it into everyday life.
The logistics were documented. The transformation often wasn't.
We created WovenArc to help groups capture the full arc of an experience — from anticipation to reflection to lasting impact — so that meaningful moments don't simply happen and disappear.
Because the most important part of a journey is often not where you went. It's who you're becoming because of it.
The beginning of something larger
WovenArc begins with individual trips, retreats, and gatherings. But the vision extends further.
Over time, we believe there is an opportunity to help people see how their meaningful experiences connect — not just within a single trip, but across years of journeys, retreats, and shared moments. The arc of a single trip is powerful. The arc of a life shaped by many such experiences is something else entirely.
We're starting with the foundation: helping one group, on one journey, see what they experienced together more clearly. Everything we build from here will grow from that simple, human beginning.
Meet the Founders
WovenArc was founded by Sarah Bunnell and Kevin Wallace, two people passionate about helping others experience deeper connection, reflection, and transformation through shared journeys.
Sarah Bunnell
Co-Founder
Sarah is a guide, experience designer, and relationship builder whose passion is helping people encounter the world — and themselves — in deeper ways.
Through years of leading and coordinating global travel experiences, she witnessed firsthand how powerful shared experiences can be. She also saw how quickly many of those moments disappeared once people returned home.
The conversations that changed lives. The breakthrough moments. The relationships formed across cultures. Too often, they were lost among thousands of photos and busy schedules.
Sarah believed those moments deserved more.
Her vision helped shape WovenArc's core philosophy: that transformation is not confined to a destination, but unfolds through intentional preparation, meaningful reflection, and thoughtful integration afterward.
At WovenArc, she leads experience design, traveler engagement, community development, and partner relationships.
Kevin Wallace
Co-Founder
Kevin is an entrepreneur, builder, and storyteller who has spent his career creating platforms that help people discover purpose and create meaningful impact.
After helping scale technology companies and building ventures across wellness, education, faith, and community, he became increasingly interested in a deeper question: How are people formed?
That pursuit led him beyond business growth and into helping individuals, families, leaders, and organizations connect purpose, relationships, work, and faith into a meaningful whole.
For Kevin, every journey is more than a trip. It is an opportunity for formation, reflection, and discovering how experiences shape the larger story of our lives.
At WovenArc, he helps shape the platform vision, product strategy, storytelling systems, and long-term mission.
